I have a universal hard drive adapter kit and I have a sata hard drive that came out of an old computer. I originally got this kit to retrieve some old data off of the drive, but figured I could make a low budget backup hard drive with it. The only problem is the drive is partitioned into two partitions. Is there any software that will allow me to partition it while it connected to my computer via usb cable?

Thanks, I'm pretty familiar with partitions, but only when installing an os from scratch, not from a usb adapter.

You would Disk Manager as outlined in the above link. Once there just right click on the drive or partition to get additional options; ie. delete, create, resize, etc.
