I was creating a backup boot disk for Windows 8. first, I created a partition on my 1tb external hard drive and named it "Windows8 Boot" (F
So, now I had two drives for my external, E: and F:.
I created the backup disc on the F: as planned, but when the action completed, both drives were gone and replaced with a "Recovery" drive wich replaced the E: drive.
Also, when I go to properties for this new drive, it says that there is only 30gb available and only 11gb free.
What happened? The partition was formatted to house a recovery boot system, yet everything was wiped out. Can I get my files back? Why didn't this work as all tutorials I have read and watched said that it would? PLEASE HELP ME!
