I'm trying to make a new partition on my hard disk, I'm using Partition Magic 8 and I get the error message "Error 1537: File number greater than 4 billion".

Their website says that cause od the problem is "A file number greater than 4 billion was encountered".
Proposed solution is "Run CHKDSK /F on the affected drive", but that didn't help.

Windows XP, NTFS, 80 GB hard disk with one partition

Can someone please help?

How many Primary partions already exist you can't have more then 3 and then one extended. Only thing I can think of right now.
