    Hi Dr TSGuy.
    Windows 7/Office 2010/
Some say the 'save with password' of Word and Excel is not save? If no, what can I use?
    Thanks

There is no option called "save with password" in Word 2010. You have to say the document first and then click on "File" - "Protect Document" then "Encrypt with password". You can also save it after the incryption but just putting a password does not "save" the document.

You have to be careful when setting passwords on documents as if you forget the password you can't recover the document. Also, you can still delete the file without the password.

Thanks, I did what you said but then used this to bypass the password . (link removed by Administrator Cookiegal)

I've edited your post as we don't support the use of password cracking software.
