I reset my account password and then forgot it. I know you can't tell me how to fix it but I need help with my reset disc. I went to Password Reset Wizard and did what it said to burn a reset disc but the disc will not run in the laptop that I am locked out of. Can you help me?

Hi happygirlsoon, and welcome to TSG.

The last time I checked, Windows 7 allowed you to create password recovery on floppy disc or on a USB flash drive, not burn to any kind of CD or DVD.

Also, the recovery disc or USB will only work for the user account on the computer which was used to create it.

you have to burn the reset disc on the computer that you intend to, use it on & do it before you need it
You can't burn it on another computer

That is all the info you will get here
closing this before the rules get breached
