I have built a website that uses multiple PayPal buttons to purchase product packages and gift certificates. There are a total of four buttons per package and certificate on two separate web pages. It seems to me that anyone who wants to purchase a product package or gift certificate could choose the amount once they get to the PayPal website since there are four different price ranges: $50, $125, $300, and $450. My goal here is to reduce code so instead of four PayPal buttons there would be just one.

Since the PayPal buttons are simply a group of hidden tags with a form around them the user can change the hidden tag to a select or input tag then they can decide what to enter in. I’ve heard I can do this with JavaScript by modifying the tags with an “on change” event of a drop down menu but I am a newbie at the language. For example, the user chooses the $300 package from the dropdown. The JavaScript then changes the amount hidden tag to the proper amount.

Any guidance on how I can do this?

Thanks for any feedback.
