    Hi, new user,

Ive just downloaded a software for call recording and answerphone. It works fine but the sound playback is very scratchy. I can understand o.k. but the callers voice is very low.

Ive turned up the volume on the control panel but its still scratchy.

The audio works fine on music. I was aiming to get exceptional clarity on the incoming calls, so any advice on this.
The voice modem is a smartlink 56k
The system is windows xp home.
Is it not possible to improve call clarity?
Do i need too change the modem or sound card, or anything else for that matter?
    Many thanks.
