i'm sorry but i've had it. so here is what happens:
    1. first you should know i had to take my pc to the shop, bought a new hdd and reinstalled windows xp service pack 3
    2. I press the power button, windows start loading, sometimes a blue screen appears and if you wait long enough a welcome screen and that's it. Sometimes is goes past the welcome screen, it loads normally and freezes after half an hour. I took it to the shop and it worked fine there. Brought it back home, still blue screen etc. It start normally if i unplug the monitor. Sometimes, if i plug it back in, the monitor start normally, other times it just stays black. i'll give you any information needed, but it will take a while since i don't have the heart to restart my pc this many times. i think in the last two days i've restarted it like 50 times, no kiddin'.

    ok. thank you.

Also, here are some errors, warnings from the system log:

The NVIDIA Update Service Daemon service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

The DNS Client service could not contact any DNS servers for a repeated number of attempts. For the next 30 seconds the DNS Client service will not use the network to avoid further network performance problems. It will resume its normal behavior after that. If this problem persists, verify your TCP/IP configuration, specifically check that you have a preferred (and possibly an alternate) DNS server configured. If the problem continues, verify network conditions to these DNS servers or contact your network administrator.

Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the NVSvc service.
The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently accessible. No attempt to contact a source will be made for 14 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time.
