Did this just happen one day when you booted up the PC like normal or did you remove/install new components inside? If you did, recheck all the wiring for the drives and make sure they are fully seated.

no one day it all went bang and i thought it might be the hd so i bought a new one and installed it then after it didnt work to fix it i went and unplugged all the devices and put new chords on them all
when i go into bios it just doesnt read anything in the device manager or in the boot up menu it has 3 locations and you can space bar to put checks on them but theres no data as to what they are ??? bios virus ??? doesnt really look like anyting virus like but then again im not really up too par with bios virus

i pulled the bios battery off and put it back on but that didnt help

Have you set the hardware detection on the ide channels to "Auto" ?
If not, do so and re-boot.
