i have an e machine model T2895 w/ 2.8 GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. IE6 and windows XP home edition SP1. lately my clock runs fast (5-10 mins a day, sometimes a little more). it's not the end of the world, but i'd like to know why, and how to correct it. is it a warning of problems to come? or just an annoyance? any ideas? thx

Go to control panel(switch to classic view if you haven't done so). Click on 'Date and Time'. Click on 'Internet time' and uncheck 'Automatically synchronize with an internet time server'.

See if that helps.
