pc doesn't see primary hd or slave on bootup

    It doesn't see my c or d drive at all. I can boot up from a start disk, but don't know what to do from there as I still don't see anything except for the floppy drive. Help!

    Do the drives lights flash when you power on? Did the drives work?
    At startup go into Setup and be sure that the IDE controllers are enabled if that option is available. And/or check that the ribbon and power cables to the drives are secure.

    Check the jumper on the hard disk and make sure you have set them properly, either as slaves or masters
