I decided to upgrade my ram from 8gb single channel to 16gb dual channel. I ordered x2 8gb 2666mhz ddr4 ram and installed it into my PC. At first everything seemed fine, but when I tried playing a game, the PC then crashed and gave me a BSOD (For whatever reason now though, the PC only kicks me back to the desktop screen whenever I try playing a game). The PC then runs fine when I take out one of the 2 sticks, leaving it with only 8gb installed. My PC parts are all relatively new and I have also never attempted to overclock my PC. I'm not that bright when it comes to PC's so please don't be too cryptic with your answer. If you need to ask me any questions I'm all ears.

My PC Specs are as follows:

    -Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H
    -CPU: AMD Athlon 200ge
    - RAM: 16gb ddr4 2666mhz dual channel Adata ram (currently being used)
    -Graphics: GTX 750ti
-PSU: TorQue 500 watt Eco Green Power Supply

CPU-Z Information should be shown in attached file:

Increasing the amount of DDR4-2666 MHz RAM from 8 GB to 16 GB shouldn't cause your computer to crash when playing a game.

Are you saying your computer runs fine when not playing a game, but it crashes when playing a game?

Which game are you having an issue with?

Ya my PC runs fairly smoothly normally when not playing a game (aside from when I first installed the ram, It ran slowly for a while but that's probably normal). I have only played CS:GO on it so far. I can open up the game and and enter a game (I used offline bots for testing). But either when I start the game or during the loading screen it crashes and then kicks me back to the desktop (First time I played, the PC froze and I got a BSOD. That hasn't happened since though). The thing is though the game runs perfectly when I play with one stick of 8gb ram instead of the two 8gb sticks together. Any ideas? Thanks for the reply btw!

I'm not a hardware/gaming expert, so I'll pass to those here who are.
I also requested your thread be moved to the "Games" section.
    Good luck.

Wouldn't it be best to leave it in the Hardware forum? Doesn't it appear to be a possible hardware issue?

Do you mean to move it out of the hardware forum and into the games forum perhaps?

I requested it be moved because the gaming experts there may be able to offer better advice.
Leaving it here is probably okay too.

You can't move it yourself. If you feel it would do better in the Games forum then I'll move it there. What is your choice?

Could you move it to the games section please since I was told it would be a better place to put it. Thanks
