I've got a KU-0355 Acer brand keyboard (usb) and it seems the NumLock key is not working.

With another keyboard also plugged in, I can switch off/on the number keys, the LED light lights up as it should and the number keys respond on the Acer keyboard. The fault is isolated to the NumLock key not working.

I've had the cover off and I can not see any cracks/breaks in the flexi circuit sheet.

    Any fault finding suggestions welcome!

How about if you try selecting "numeric keypad" in options in the on-screen keyboard in windows ease of access (in start menu)?

No, its definitely a keyboard issue because the other plugged in keyboard is same model keyboard and that works perfectly.

Have you taken the NumLock key's top off ? There could be something under it that's stopping the key from working.

Indeed, I took the keypad off and tried pressing the on the actual rubber cup springs. Still nothing!

The CapsLock works but sadly not the NumLock.

    I'm a fixit type!

In this case, I suspect a hairline crack on the plastic sheet which the key circuits are etched.

I doubt it's repairable. You could try to remap the keyboard to make the Scroll Lock key function as the Num Lock key.

I was looking in Bios earlier and there's a setting to Enable or Disable NumLock at startup
