I need to know what files i need to look for for clearing out search fields on Interent Explorer, (besides the clear hist files and temp internet files in Internet Properties.) I need to clear the search fields that automatically fill in fields for me. ITs nice to have to save time but i need to know how to clear these. Also to, the search for files and folders. Im not sure where to look to delete the history of searches. can anyone help?

    Hi,

    1) Tools/Internet OPtions/Content/Autocomplete/clear Forms (drop down lists in forms, search engines, etcetera)
    2) Start/Run/Regedit >HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs (address bar drop down list)
    3) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Doc Find Spec MRU (Find/search drop down list)

    Good luck,

You can also download <A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/PowerToys/Networking/NTTweakUI.asp">Tweak UI 1.33 </A>, which will do most of that automatically every time you start up if that's what you want:

    Good luck,
