PC operates itself

    The system is Win XP HE SP2
    My PC is now starting up by itself. I must turn off the power or the PC will startup
    Have checked the Event viewer, It states The bdfsfltr service was successfully sent a start control type messages
    Also
    Volume control ramps up to full (Had to Mute it)
    Have Bitdefenders Total security 2008
    Full scan results == Did not find a problem
    They (BD support) tell me I have Hardware Problems & doubt if I have a Virus
    Loaded these after the problem started
    Loaded & scanned with Spy Bot , results ======Did not find a problem
    Loaded & scanned with AVG , results ======Did not find a problem
    Loaded & scanned with Malwarebytes , results ======Did not find a problem
    Loaded & scanned with AVST , results ======Did not find a problem
    Loaded & scanned with Prvxcsi , results ======Did not find a problem
    Some of these Programs DID find things Which I deleted
    Did not resolve the problem
    I have Windows defender loaded. Have disabled some programs
    Working with Hijackthis Have eliminated what I understand
    STILL Have the same Problem ???? ( Maybe it is Hardware Problems,Don't Know)
    I have cable ISP which I leave turn off at startup
    Any ideas

    Are you still having this problem? If so, lets have a look at a HijackThis log:

    Click here to download HJTInstall.exe
    • Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
    • Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
    • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
    • Click on Install.
    • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
    • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
    • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
    • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
    • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
    • DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
