Present PC a few years old, hard drive clicking on its last legs. Looking to replace it, preferably w/ a WInXP machine.

Any recommendations on machines to consider and places to purchase?

Uses to include website maintenance, photo editing (large file-size 21 megapixels), ability to support triple monitor setup and multi-task in word, outlook, photoshop and web without degradation in performance.

    Check out eBay.
Recently purchased my current machine from a seller there.
XP Pro installed(came with key sticker but needed to be activated)
    P4 3.0GHz HT CPU
    40GB hard drive.
machine was completely refurbished before selling.
Seller wasn't kidding. Very clean and runs great.
$89.95 plus shipping. Received in less than a week.

W-XP computers are getting hard to find ... Maybe you would want to upgrade your current computer.

Vista is obsolete .. You might want to wait and get a newer computer with Windows 7.

Many older version refurbished models on Ebay are actually brand new factory build outs.
I got one similar to one of these for $400 .. and put XP MCE in it.

HP has a web site where you can get help finding the drivers needed to install XP
