    Hi chredge,
Do you get a blue screen or does the PC turn off comepletly? Do you have any sort of temperature monitoring equipment/software on your PC?

Have you a run a full scan with Avast?

    Hi Sludge3000,

    Thanks for the reply.

No blue screen, the PC just reboots itself. I do not have any temperature monitoring software. Should I have this and what's the best one? (something I've never thought of before).

Avast is always running in the background so there's no need for a full scan (or is there? how do I start this from Avast?)

Can you see anything from the log I posted?

    Hope this is enough info.

    Cheers,

    C h r e d g e.

    Hi Chredge,
I'm afraid i'm not qualified to assess these logs but at a glance there doesn't appear to be a major problem. These logs don't always point out viruses however which is why it's always good to ensure you antivirus is up to date and run a full scan.

To be honest it sounds more like a overheating issue. You should ensure that all intake vents on your PC are clear of dust. If you open the case of your PC ensure that you are grounded before touching anything by either using a grounded wristband or you can touch a metal part of the case. Once grounded disconnect the power cable from the back of the PC. Try to avoid touching any of the electronic parts within the PC. Ensure that the intake vents are clear of dust and if you can check if there is a build up of dust on the CPU heatsink. If there is a large amount of dust on your CPU heatsink and you are unsure of safe cleaning processes post back.
