    Hi
I have an IBM NetVista PCwith 576 MB of RAM. It was running quite OK until i attached it to a Belkin router and made it part of a workgroup MSHOME (where there is only my laptop connected through a wireless card). It is now very slow, especially Internet Explorer.
Please find attached the hijackthis log.
    Thanks for any help.

Open Task Manager and click on the CPU column to sort by the process that uses the most CPU cycles. You have several instances of SVCHOST and some of the recent worms use that service to run themselves via.

If you find an instance of SVCHOST that is using more than 50% of the CPU, scan for viruses/worms with the latest definition files and run spybot to clean out spyware programs.

Your log is clean and not too cluttered.
I would go into safe mode and do a thorough clean out of tempfiles and defrag.
