I have made a thread on Reddit which gives some information on my problem, I will copy parts of it onto here too.

    http://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/2wsa6z/pc_shuts_down_as_if_someone_has_unplugged_the/

"my PC is mostly used for gaming and browsing, it shuts down or blue screens always after half hour-an hour's use, regardless of what I'm doing. I have some info from bluescreenview I was hoping maybe someone could help me identify the problem from the logs.

I was first asked to use whocrashed to find out more about the crashes, here are a few errors over the last month or so:
    https://shrib.com/JXIWj6sy

We noticed avast was clashing with something, I was advised to uninstall it and replace with another program, I did that using safemode and the uninstall application, the PC crashed again producing this report:

Finally, the computer bluescreened this morning with the following error:

Any help would be appreciated, I can usually fix my own problems but I can't seem to find a fix for this! Thanks techguy!

Did you run the downloaded Avast uninstaller utility from their tech support site or the program's built-in one?

    Hello!
I downloaded it from the tech site and ran it in safe mode, removing all components of avast but it's still blue screening and turning off. Thanks for your reply.

Not sure if your mainboard might have a diagnostic utility....to test the RAM, hard drive, etc?

If so please run a full diagnostic test and give the results.... there may just be a message that does not save to a Report but if it gives that option please save the report and paste or attach it to your Reply here.

I see the sudden shutdowns often when bad RAM or overheating is present but I would think you would recognize those and cure that fairly easily...a bad hard drive might be a problem as well, and I have seen rootkit type malware create this kind of behavior

Test the drive, RAM etc get back to us

You have any other security type protective programs on the system?
