my PC will shut down randomly, it can be on for hours then shuts down as if no power, the reset power switch will not power up anything but the light on mobo is on, the only way to power up is to disconnect power lead for 10 seconds and reconnect and it works fine until next time....... any help please

Check to see if the power supply fan is operating.

Most likely unstable power from the PS.

Did you build the PC yourself? Use thernal compound (i.e. acrilic silver, silicon based, etc.)
Check the temp. of your processor.
Even though this is often a PS problem, your processor can overheat and shut down automatically.
It won't boot until it is at its ceiling or ambient temperature is under it's maximum threshold.
