Hi there! This is my first Thread!
I've been having this issue for 2 months now, and it's annoying. My pc loads a game (for example : Fortnite), once i'm in the main menu the computer turns off, no errors showing, nothing.

MY PC SPECS:
CPU : i5-4690k (it has a coolermaster cooler)
GPU: R9 280x Tri-x
RAM : 8 gigs (Ripjaws DDR3 2100mhz)
HDD: 3.5TB
PSU: Cooler Master VS650

P.S. : I don't know if this helps, but i use 2 monitors with this setup, and it always worked fine, even with GTA 5 almost all maxed out.

HELP PLEASE

Have you checked the temperatures of your components when they're trying to run games? When's the last time you cleaned out the inside of the case? Sometimes when a PC turns off like that, it could be a temperature trigger point set in the BIOS has been exceeded, and it's turning off the PC to prevent damage.

lochlomonder is right. May be some part of your PC needs thermal paste like the heat sink etc, maybe heating up..

Hello Lochlomonder, please excuse me if I have the person, but if you are the same helpful person that used to be on the pcguide.com forum, I just want to say that you were always a big help to me at the former website. I can no longer use the pcguide.com forum website as I am not able to log on and I think that site may be taken over by a virus. In any event, if you are the same Lochlomonder, I just want to say hello. I just signed on to this website today and this is the only way I was able to message you. Thank you. Again, if I have the wrong person, my apologies.

Please Download Speccy by Piriform

• Download and save Speccy from here. https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download/standard
• Navigate to the directory in which you saved the ZIP file.
• Right-click on the downloaded ZIP file, click Extract all, taking note of where the files will be extracted, and then hit Extract.
• Open up the extracted folder, right-click on Speccy64.exe (or Speccy.exe, if your system is 32-bit), and select Run as administrator. Please accept any User Account Control prompts.
• After waiting a while, click File, then Publish Snapshot.
• Hit Yes to the Publish Snapshot dialog, then click Copy to Clipboard. Paste the URL in your next reply.

I'm the same person. Wekiva. I'm not sure what happened to the other site; however, I know it's been down for a few weeks. Welcome to this forum (y)

Thanks Lochlomonder for replying. I was known as Crestwood on the other website and I always appreciated the kind help you provided. I'm not sure what happened to the other website either but I found it alarming as when I would attempt to log into that site, I was redirected to weird sites with strange names and I would get a message that I had a virus. Have a great day!
