    PC will not boot
The switch next to the fan is set to the | position.
The only thing that happens is the harddrive light turns on but it is orange instead of green. I've never witnessed this before.

    The PC is a Herko
    Pentium II chip.

Let me know what other info is needed and I'm not good with motherboards so I would need to be pointed to some sort of web site for instructions on how to fix. Thanx

    jsmith92,

    Welcome to TSG.

Do you hear a beep, that would be your POST, Power On Self Test?

Did you move or preform upgradeson the system?

Also, how many hard drives do you have? 1 or 2?

    no beep
This is a PC which was given to me by a friend because he says that one day it just would not turn on. There was not a power surge either so I'm not sure what happened to cause the problem.

    Here are the specs

    Pentium II 400 MHz
    ATI Rage2C AGP 52804 100
    128Mb PC 100Mhz Ram
Western Digital Enhanced IDE Hard Drive - 10262.5 MB

I don't know if you are willing to take the system apart, but to try and determine the cause of the problem you will need to.

Here is a pretty good site for bios trouble shooting, take a look at Post Troube Shooting.

Make sure you touch the case before touching anything inside the case, every time, to dicharge static electricty.

Tried again to find a HERKO website no luck. Not sure which bios it will have, but all systems must POST.
