First of all, hi. I've never posted here before.

The other night my computer went a bit mental, the task manager wouldnt open, and programs [including shutdown.exe] would not run. I had to turn off the computer manually.

When I started back up again, my Belkin wireless network card was being detected, according to the device manager functioning properly. But the light on the back of the card wasnt on. which as far as I can remember, theres always a green light on to show its active, even before I installed the drivers. I also have a usb pci card, the device manager tells me "the device cannot start" (code 10).

The first thing I did was to do a system restore to the previous day. This had no affect at all.

The next thing I tried was the advice given on this site:
    http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=123

    This also failed to help.

I've also tried swapping the cards around. This didnt work either.

I have no idea whats going on, but it's really driving me crazy because I have so much work to worry about without having this :(

    Can anyone please help me?

I should also probably mention that I already ran a virus check, which brought up nothing.
