if i scan a document and save the file to my pc , it saves it as a pdf file, but when i try to upload the files to a website , it says you cannot upload files as they must be either a jpg file or a pdf file.. but they are a pdf file, this happens every time i scan a document. does anyone know why this is happening , thanks

My scanner saves in several different formats.

If your file was a pdf, then it should be acceptable to upload to a site that accepts pdf files. (Note some sites have size restrictions.)

It would be of considerable help if you told us the make and full model of the scanner and the website to which you are trying to upload the document
Also having scanned the document, will the saved scan then open on your computer in a pdf reader
