pendrive problem

    i everyone,i bought a pendrive 4gb a week ago n now it isn't working.
    'the disk needs to be formatted' apperars upon inserting it n 'windows cannot complete formatting' appears wen i try to format it. i cannot open or explore the pendrive. it also shows zero capacity. i'm using vista home premium, RAM: 4gb and HDD: 250 gb. plz help.:(

    hi there, i have a dell laptop..can i still use this hp tool?? :confused:

    Use the HP utility as suggested, if you need the data off - then use a free utility like photorec.
    If after being formatted the stick is still not functioning properly, just bin it. They're so cheap these days, it's not worth putting data at risk - if the stick is going to continue to fail.
