Hey there, bruce459,
Here are a few things you should try out:
1) Go to Control Panel - All Control Panel Items - Power Options and then select "High performance".
If you don't find it, Press "Show additional plans" and you should see it.
2) Go to Control Panel - All Control Panel Items - System
Once there, navigate to the left side where it says "Advanced system settings" and click that.
After that, go to "advanced" and to the performance settings.
Now chose "Adjust for best performance" and optionally tick "Smooth edges of screen fonts" and "show thumbnails instead of icons"
Click Apply and OK
3) Press the windows key + R and type temp and afterwards click OK. Delete everything in the folder that comes up.
Do the same with %temp%
don't worry, you do not need these files
4) go to Settings - Privacy and optionally set everything to "off" (microphone, camera, etc.)
If you want to leave something turned on, just keep it on
I've edited your post to remove number 5 and renumbered the rest because we don't support the use of registry cleaners, system optimizers or boosters as mentioned in the site rules where it reads:
Please do not recommend running registry cleaners and/or system optimizers. The staff at Tech Support Guy generally recommend that registry "cleaners" not be used because many of the "errors" shown in scan results are actually incorrect or "false" detections and "fixing" them may cause serious problems. Some resulting issues can appear immediately while others may only become evident months or even years later when you discover that you can't uninstall a program or software you haven't used for a while doesn't work properly. Furthermore, fixing any "real" errors or attempting to optimize the system by tweaking it won't result in any significant gains in space on the hard drive and/or performance so it's best to simply avoid using these types of programs.
Therefore, please refrain from recommending their use in the future.
Also, I see you created an account previously under the name Jack88393 on the same day as this one which you never used. Whey then did you create a second account? We don't allow users to have more than one account so shall I just deletd the Jack88393 one?
I'm sorry about that, I did not know. Thanks for advising me about the problems I might face after installing such programs. I also don't remember why i created a second account but you can delete the jack88393 one
