The almost exact message that I get like Candy's is:
You have performed an illegal operation and will be closed

When I click the X box and top right, often I don't get closed down. But if I click 'close', often it does shut me down.

How can I keep from getting the error message? Am I having too many applications open at the same time or what?

Hi George, welcome to TSG. I'm giving you a separate thread for this, so please follow-up here. It's too hard to help two different people in the same thread.

Like the other one, you should click on the "details" tab of the error message and report the modules and error addresses, such as:

QUIKVIEW caused an invalid page fault in
    module <unknown> at 0000:7d503882

We also need to know what Windows version you are running and when the error occurs.
