Does anyone have a phone number to reach a real person at Microsoft Word so I can find out my product key number. I have my diskettes, but recently moved and cannot find my registration papers. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Thanks.

Theu can be found on the diskette somewhere. Have you tried the Microsoft website?

There is not a single real person at Microsoft! Rather than following that Quixotic quest, why don't you try Belarc Advisor.

http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

This not only gives you an excellent analysis of your system, but it provides the product key numbers for all of your installed Microsoft products. To quote the web site, "The Belarc Advisor builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, including Microsoft Hotfixes, and displays the results in your Web browser. All of your PC profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any web server." I've used it extensively it and it is excellent. I print off the report and keep it next to my computer for reference.

That is incorrect. The key is not on the CD (unless you write it on the label!) in any form.

Belarc Advisor etc will work fine, providing the program is still installed on the PC. If it is not installed it cannot retrieve the key
