Photoshop Tool Location Question

    I just got Photoshop CS2 version 9.0 and can't find the Magic Selection Brush.

    yeah its something like that but you select the main area... they may have killed it in 9.0

    Any tool that has a little back arrow ... RIGHT ckick on it for More Tools.

    What version did you find the "Magic Selection Brush." in?

    Post us a screen shot please...

    I'm not sure what version its in, though...I may be thinking of the wrong program. I think its PS Elements that has that feature. Is there one like that in PS CS2?

    You would select outside and inside the image like this:

    Are you trying to copy what's between the selections?

    Open image...lasso tool...make your outside selection then make sure subtract from selection is highlighted in the tool options bar then make an inside selection... edit copy then file new then edit paste...

    Do you mean the extract filter (Filter - Extract)?

    Its like the extract filter but it kind-of has a brain and you roughly outline the inside and outside (like above) and it crops on color difference, light difference, ect, ect...
    Its ok if you don't know if PS CS2 has it or where it is, I'll find it...

    before that tool (the Magnetic Lasso tool) always said "There is nothing selected" everytime I tried it but now it works and i'll use it.

    P.S. That wasn't the tool I was thinking about but this one will work. If I do find what I was looking for i'll post it here...
