I need a php/MySQL program to create a database at home for future upload to 1and1.com server. I have html/javascript webpage needing a few databases. 1st time databaser. Could not install/run php triad, because I have 64-bit. and win10. php triad comes with Apache webserver, php Interpreter, and mySQL database management system. need to work on the database at home then upload. Is there another version or other package I can use?

try WAMP https://sourceforge.net/projects/wampserver/ that is updated regularly. And is now accepted as the industry default for windows.
Triad is several years old & as far as I can see still uses vulnerable / outdated versions of php / MySQL & apache ( it doesn't appear to have been updated for several years and although searching does lead to allegedly updated versions of it on several sites, I cannot verify the safety of it)

If you are going to eventually upload to a1&1 server, male sure that you are using the same versions of PHP & MySQL in WAMP as 1&1 use on their servers, otherwise you WILL have conflicts when it uploads
Stick with MySQL 5.6 & PHP 7 or 7.1 for best compatibility ( php 5.6 is just about end of life and will stop having any new security fixes in a few months.

MySQL 5.7 or 8.* isn't fully supported by Cpanel yet & probably won't be on 1&1 until much later this year ( 8.* is bleeding edge & buggy and only for developers, do not let wamp install it)

Don't use maria DB if you are going to transfer to 1&1 or any other webhost. Cpanel did trey to set mariaDV as default DB use but have decoded to switch back to MySQL for better security updates & better compatibility

An alternative to WAMP is DesktopServer whilst geared to Wordpress local development it also supports conventional websites and databases and imho is an easier interface than WAMP (WAMP is under the skin of DesktopServer).

    Sorry Derek yes of course.

    Only get it from here

The free version allows up to 3 sites, so if you are only doing one there is no need to go for the paid version. Works on Windows and Mac.
