    I'm considering throwing my laptop out the second floor window, but before I do maybe someone can help me!
    My computer has been acting up for sometime or maybe I should say slowing down. I've read through a number of similar threads and tried a few of the suggestions - running Malware, defraging the disc, without any improvement. In short, the entire systems bogs down even when I've only got a couple of applications running; yesterday it was Word and Excel. This doesn't happen everytime I use it but often enough to indicate there is a problem. Of course there are tons of things running in the background that I don't know how or if it is safe to shut down.

    Finally things stopped altogether and after a few minutes I was able to start task manager - I was at 99% capacity of physical memory usage but very little CPU usage. I closed everything and googled the problem, tried a couple of things (above) and had to quit for the day without finding any problems. I've noticed that Word seems to be having problems but haven't had success fixing it.

    I sometimes have to run the virtual machine which also seems to all of a sudden to have problems, but maybe that is an application thing, AutoCad 14 has decided to run differently than before.

    I know enough about the computer to be dangerous....so I could really use some assistance in speeding the thing up! Following is the system info as suggested:

    Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version
    OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64 bit

    Processor Count: 8

    Hard Drives: C: Total - 243349 MB, Free - 123162 MB; D: Total - 13549 MB, Free - 2252 MB; E: Total - 99 MB, Free - 95 MB;

    I thank you in advance!
