Courtesy ? Lets get something straight here. heewee made a comment on a very powerful image which according to your standards shouldn't have been made and you made that clear. Now you are trying to ram your opinion down my throat and it just won't work. If you want to browbeat your kids thats fine with me but keep one thing in mind. I'm not one of your kids and I doubt heewee is either. If from the onset you would have minded your own business your knickers wouldn't be in a knot and this thread would be what it was.

Ice spectacular as plummeting temperatures turn lighthouse into winter wonderland

It looks like a spectacular scene straight from a fairy tale.

But instead this winter wonderland is actually situated on the east shore of Lake Michigan in the United States.

After weeks of freezing temperatures, a thick coating of icicles has completely transformed the landmark South Haven lighthouse.

    NYS DPW Workers

These Contractors are installing the steel pillars in concrete to stop vehicles from parking on the pavement outside a Sports Bar downtown. They are now in the process of cleaning up at the end of the day and are anxious to go home.

How long do you think it will be before they realize where their vehicle is parked?

It's behind you: Great White stalks ocean canoeist
    L
Alone in his tiny plastic sea kayak, marine biologist Trey Snow had hoped to stealthily track a great white shark. But he had the shock of his life when he spotted a giant fin and realised it was he who was being stalked - by surely one of the most feared killers in the world.

The magnificent creature initially dived to the seabed, inspecting the kayak from below, before rising menacingly to the surface. Luckily for Trey, the 13ft-long shark was more inquisitive than hungry.

Sitting in a 3.8-metre sea kayak and watching a four-metre great white approach you is a fairly tense experience. Although we had extensively tested the sharks' reactions to an empty kayak and had observed no signs of aggression, this gave us little comfort as we eyed a great white heading straight for us, albeit slowly. Just a metre or so from the craft it veered off, circled and slowly approached from behind. It did this several times, occasionally lifting its head out of the water to get a better look. Then it lost interest, and as it continued on its way we were able to follow a short distance behind. Once we'd come to terms with having nothing between ourselves and a four-metre shark except a thin layer of plastic, our kayak made an ideal research platform for observing great white behaviour in shallow water. Its advantages are twofold: it is inconspicuous and appears not to cause the sharks to alter their behaviour for long, and it allows us to watch them in a natural situation, as it is not necessary to attract them to us with food.
