When I download pictures to computer from digital camera into a file, how do I reduce the size of the images please, as often when I try to send them as an attachment, the message is rejected, saying the images are too big?

    Regards

    Skeeg

What's your operating system .. XP, Vista or W7 ???
You probably should install a better Image Viewer and Basic Editor than what is provided by M$
One of the most popular freeware is Irfanview.
You can resize, crop .. and a lot more ... Always keep the original and downsize/edit a copy.

My usual procedure is to Crop (re-frame) the photo to what I want to show ..
then resize it to 640x480 or 800x600 and save it as a new file on my desktop ..
then attach the new resized photo.

It can also be used for screen shots like these
