When I try to access a website on a Windows 2000 advanced server (using host headers) the page takes approx. 20 seconds to respond. When i ping the host header, it also takes approx. 20 seconds to respond. How can i make this quicker?

Could add an entry in your hosts file with the name and ip address so it doesn't have to go out and resolve it? Not sure how it works with Advanced Server but that's what I'd do on my 98/2000/XP.
Or maybe I misunderstood the question.

Try a tracert from the server and see how many hops it takes and you will be able to see what address is casuing the slowdown.
