    i just downloaded this p2p software,but in order to get it to connect i had to uncheck my firewall.is this alright to do?

    I did'nt find what I had expected to find,, I can see no reason why you should have to disable zone alarm to use this program.

    Have you downloaded anything else??What version of piolet is it?

    I like that program, its fast.

    version 1.03 is what i downloaded.when i ran piolet it was saying connecting and wouldn't connect.i unchecked firewall and it connected.

    I really don't know unless some of the security settings of piolet are somehow doing that. I assume the firewall asked you for permission to allow piolet access the internet?

    it seemed like a good program, fast like you said,but anyway i uninstalled it.don't like to operate without my firewall.thanx anyway
