just bought a new laptop yesterday, it worked fine. got home from work today and turned it on and the screen colors are off and can see pixels? flashing. I can't seem to adjust the display settings to correct. any ideas?

The screen could just be bad and prone to failure. If it worked before and nothing's changed, then it's not a settings or drivers issue, which leaves hardware. Your best bet is probably to contact the manufacturer and send the thing back for repair or replacement.
