I right click on the video clip, then go to send to, then click on dvd-ram drive (D), but then up comes "windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file. what would you like windows to do" It has a retry button and a cancel button on the same window, I have tried the retry button many times but with no success.

Where do these video clips come from and what format are they in. What program are you using to compress them? What brand media are you using? Have tried a different kind?

this reply to your questions might let you know how much I know about computers but here goes. The video clips come from a website named "the hun". I dont know what format they are in and dont know what that means.I dont know what you mean by "what program are you using to compress them".When you ask what brand media am I using do you mean the type of disc I am using, if so, they are , Verbatim digital movie dvd+r 4.7gb/go 120 min 1x.4X rw. I will go and buy some different types if thats what you mean.I have only just installed the dvd burner. It was installed by a professional so I am guessing it was done properly

If it's the notorious adult referer site I hope you are properly firewalled and are running an AV app. Be best to run some spyware scans also.

Have you saved these clips to your hard drive? Try burning the clips to a dvd with whatever software came with your burner, instead of the send to command.
