I'd like to know how to convert a .bmp file into a *.pcm file to use with my plasma cam machine. Also how to convert a file to 256 color or less bitmap. This feature would allow me to upload the bitmap files directly into the plasma cam computer.

I have this machine, it is over ten years old and never been turned on nor used.

Have you tried using a video converter. There are a few in the internet which are free.

A gif file is 256 colors or less, can you convert to a gif - and send a *.gif Image to the cutter ???
I'd use Irfanview to do the image format conversions .. or Photoshop to make a 2 color B/W silhouette in any Image format.
