I need help finding the right connection cable to connect my IBM thinkpad to my TV. The TVs that will be used will mostlikely not have S video ports, just the line in video and audio jacks(stereo). The laptop does not have an S video port.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

Also, will the audio/video quality be ok? I would like to use the laptop DVD player on the TV to avoid a DVD purchase right now.

Best Buy and Radio Shack were of no help.
    Thanks for any help.

    Thanks for the reply.

No RCA jacks. Just the monitor output port.

To get a low price DVD player appears to be the best option.

    Appreciated the suggestion.

Unless you have a tv out card which is extremely unlikely on a laptop, it will be cheaper to buy a cheap dvd player rather than try to upgrade a laptop

it seems very odd to me that the laptop does not have either a rca or svideo out, but does come equiped with a dvd drive. What make/model is it?
