    I recently just got a n IBM Thinkpad 380D.

Its pretty much standard but has 80 mb ram and is running 2k Pro and a 3 gb hd.

Im wondering is there any way to play divx movies on it? I have the codecs and I got some small clips to play but I want to be able to play full length movies on it. When I try to play divx movies I usually get sound but the picture just hangs. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

i don't think it going to cut the mustard...
    Pentium 150 w/80mg ram right?

I would say... maybe with more ram... doubtful
Another option for you might be to try to unistall win2000 and try it with win98 (uses less resources, but still doubtful)

If your looking to upgrade (on a tight budget) I would recommend looking into IBM 570's and 600's. There both PII's, but I run WinXP with all of them (and watch movies) no problem (with the ram maxed out at 292mg) i rebuild and sold 6 or 7 them so-far with satisfactory results)
