   i have 2 ps2s and have the same problem on both. when i turn it on nothing happens except the browser and system configuration screen just stays on it will not read any disk game, movie or cd period what needs to be done i have changed the position of the ps2 but that has not helped?

   Try cleaning the lens with a CD Cleaner.
   
   Either that or it's the most common problem with the PS2s, which SONY will repair for free
