the other day i started to recieve popups telling me i had the last version of the internet trojan iworm_attck+122.02a i tried to run a virus scan with pcguard + it just wouldnt do it.. i have avgfree, spybot s&d, counterspy, registry mechanic, ad-aware se, ewido anti-spyware, winpatrol + zone alarm all installed + running on my computer(I ONLY HAD PCGUARD RUNNING WHEN I GOT THE VIRUS OR WHATEVER IT IS). ive got rid of the popups but my computer hasnt been right since. i have lots of different things asking zone alarm for access to the internet even when the computer is idle. I WOULD APPRECIATE IF SOMEONE COULD ANALYZE MY HJT LOG + GIVE ME ANY ADVICE... THANK YOU Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

    Hi and welcome :)

    Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Uninstall Logitech Desktop Messenger from Add/Remove Programs.

    Run ActiveScan online virus scan:
    http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm

Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button.
A new window will open...click the Check Now button.
    Enter your Country.
    Enter your State/Province.
Enter your e-mail address and click send.
Select either Home User or Company.
Click the big Scan Now button.
If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it.
It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan.
When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location.
Post the contents of the ActiveScan report along with a new Hijack This log.

From what I can remember, in Zone Alarm Pro click on the Privacy section Select the Main tab - check around there, maybe in Cookie Control

    Rescan with Hijack This.
Close all browser windows except Hijack This.
Put a check mark beside these entries and click "Fix Checked".

    O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search - http://edits.mywebsearch.com/toolbar...tml?p=ZCfox000

    Close Hijack This.

Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit.

Note: In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
    • Save it to your desktop.
    • Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
    • Select:
      • Delete on Reboot
      • then Click on the All Files button.
    • Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

      C:\Documents and Settings\neil dougal\My Documents\Installs\BitTorrent-4.20.6.exe
      C:\Program Files\BitTorrent\uninstall.exe[²ÜÇ\System.dll]
      D:\Software\Freeware\Dexpot 1.4\dexpot14.exe

    • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
    • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt (and please let me know if you receive this message!).

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

    Post a new log.
