I AM REPOSTING THIS ....I POSTED IT IN SECURITY AND MAYBE IT SHOULD BE HERE. I AM SORRY IF I HAVE POSTED IN WRONG PLACE.
I am helping my dad who is 1200 mi. away and even more computer illiterate than I am. He is has a emachine w/ Windows 98SE 160mb ram and celleron chip.....sorry but that is all info I have at present about his machine. He is using AOL . He can not connect to internet only to AOL's email. I sent him the most current AVG and he ran it and it detected 5 different trojans. It cleaned and deleted all of them except 1 which is tojan horse dialer it did put it in vault. He still can can open IE or get to web through AOL Only can use AOL's email. Unfortunately for him I also am unfamiliar w/ the way AOL works I sent him Hi-Jackthis and had him email me his logfile. I am pasting the file below. Could you please tell me what is safe to remove? I have tried sending him Spybot S&D and adaware but he gets message that a network link is missing when he tries to install it?????? Any help/suggestions/prayers!!!! would be so appreciated right now.
thanks, Debbie
