I have never done this before so I dont know anything. I bought a new 80 G hard drive from Western Digital. When I put it in my setup will not recognize the drive. I think I need to upgrade my Bios. I have a Pen. 333 with a p2bxa motherboard. I have found some information on upgrades for the p2bxa but they have other specifications identifying the motherboard. All my manual has is p2bxa. My question is, is a bios upgrade what I need and where can I find the right one?
First, thanks for the help! I looked at Western Digital and could not figure out what I might be able to do there to fix the problem. I just went to the other site you gave me and see bio upgrades, but I know so little I have no idea, which one I need. The manual that came with my motherboard just says it is a p2bxa. When I look for bois upgrades it looks like they have other specifications about the motherboard. I cant figure out what I need.
Copy and paste the System Model and Main Circuit Board sections to your post here. Hopefully, we can identify exactly which one you have and what BIOS is already installed
