    Hello peeps. I would like to apologize in advance if I am reposting a help question that has been answered already. I did search the threads and I found that ppl with the same problem as me also had at least one other problem to go along with it. So Here I go....My McAfee has a pop up window warning me of my computer being infected with "New Malware.j Trojan and Generic downloader.f." It then asks what I would like to do...either continue what I was doing, delete, or quarantine the files. I've tried to delete them both but I receive another warning pop up window that tells me that neither the New malware.j or Generic downloader.f can be deleted nor can it be quarantined. Now it's separate warning windows for both the virus's. 1st one is always the New malware.j and after trying to delete and quarantine this file with no success I immediately receive another pop up warning window that states every thing mentioned in the last paragraph but it's for the Generic downloader.f. I have clicked the more info tab that is in these warning windows that have poped up and it tells me that my computer is at risk and I should scan it immediatly. I have scanned my PC and no threats were found. Yet every time I turn my PC on these warning windows from McAfee pop up and tell me the same thing as mentioned before. I have and have scanned with Registry Mechanic, and also with CCleaner, but with no success. Some programs such as my Nero Show Time has froze up on me. I press control,alt,and delete and am now receiving this message...."Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator." I am the owner (administrator) and disabling Task Manager is something I did not do nor do I know how to. I have and scanned my PC with HiJackThis and I will post the results in this thread. I am not a computer tech or brainiac, I do know somethings that I've done by trial and error. I have had virus's before and I was able to fix them through trial and error, but these two I just don't want to mess with without being told what I am to do so I dont mess up my PC indefinitely. Again if I over looked some thread with the EXACT same problem as me I apologize again. Just Please Help Me get Rid Of this newsence Please!!! Thank You Very Very Much!!!!

    PS, I do not use Internet Explorer for anything at all. My browser is Fire Fox and I've used it for some time now. I don't know if this matters but I want to be as detailed in my description as possible to make it easier for who ever helps me with this and easier on me too.

    Download http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe and save it to your Desktop.

    Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
    (Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

    Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
    · Restart your computer
    · After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
    · Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
    · Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
    · Choose your usual account.
    · Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
    · Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
    · It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
    · Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
    · When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
    · Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
    (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
    · Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

    ===================
    Download Superantispyware

    http://www.superantispyware.com/superantispywarefreevspro.html

    Install it and double-click the icon on your desktop to run it.
    · It will ask if you want to update the program definitions, click Yes.
    · Under Configuration and Preferences, click the Preferences button.
    · Click the Scanning Control tab.
    · Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked:
    o Close browsers before scanning
    o Scan for tracking cookies
    o Terminate memory threats before quarantining.
    o Please leave the others unchecked.
    o Click the Close button to leave the control center screen.
    · On the main screen, under Scan for Harmful Software click Scan your computer.
    · On the left check C:\Fixed Drive.
    · On the right, under Complete Scan, choose Perform Complete Scan.
    · Click Next to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
    · After the scan is complete a summary box will appear. Click OK.
    · Make sure everything in the white box has a check next to it, then click Next.
    · It will quarantine what it found and if it asks if you want to reboot, click Yes.
    · To retrieve the removal information for me please do the following:
    o After reboot, double-click the SUPERAntispyware icon on your desktop.
    o Click Preferences. Click the Statistics/Logs tab.
    o Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log.
    o It will open in your default text editor (such as Notepad/Wordpad).
    o Please highlight everything in the notepad, then right-click and choose copy.
    · Click close and close again to exit the program.
    · Please paste that information here for me with a new HijackThis log.
