please help me...i have no sound and i have lost my E

    hello!
    ok, my computer knowlage is avarage or maybe a bit less...about a week ago i had totally lost my sound on my comp. the songs seem to be playing but i hear nothing. i have totally tried everything, i Downlded my driver again (realtak ac97) and it didnt work. i also tried many sets of speaker but still nothing. im sure its plugged in right , and nothing is on mute. i had worm netsky B virus on my comp, i got rit of it, but my sound went away too...but maybe it went away when i tried to delete my virus b/c i erased some files, but nothing seemd like the sound ones. i have win98 1st edition, and this comp is new, only 1.5 year old. the comp is intel pentuim 4. there are no yellow (?) on the device mager. i tried re-installing the driver but nothing works. can u please help me?? oh, and fianly - my comp is not all english , there is some of my my lang in it which is hebrew, so some people found it hard to help me..hope u can do it!! and something else that worries me is that i have lost my E driver!! when i click on "mo computer" i can see my C and D and where the E used to be, there is just empy space!!
