It may have possibly been push down. Have you restarted the computer yet?

If it is hiding, move the cursor to the bottom - the the cursor turns to a double arrow - hold down the left mouse button and drag it up

    Hi, soulhunter87 :)

Click here to download WinPFind .
    • Right Click the Zip Folder and Select "Extract All"
    • Extract it somewhere you will remember like the Desktop
    • Dont do anything with it yet!

    Reboot into Safe Mode

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

    • Double click WinPFind.exe
    • Click "Start Scan"
    • It will scan the entire System, so please be patient!
    • Once the Scan is Complete, restart the computer back in Normal Mode.
    • Go to the WinPFind folder
    • Locate WinPFind.txt
    • Place those results in the next reply!

    Hi, soulhunter87 :)

Your computer is running in Selective Startup. There are signs of a New.Net infection.

Please read this post completely, it may make it easier for you if you copy and paste this post to a new text document or print it for reference later.

This will likely be a few step process in removing the malware that has infected your system. I encourage you to stick with it and follow my directions as closely as possible so as to avoid complicating the problem further.

The steps that I am about to suggest involve modifying the registry. Modifying the registry can be dangerous so we will make a backup of the registry first.
Modification of the registry can be EXTREMELY dangerous if you do not know exactly what you are doing so follow the steps that are listed below EXACTLY. if you cannot preform some of these steps or if you have ANY questions please ask BEFORE proceeding.

    Backing Up Your Registry
    1. Go Here and download ERUNT
(ERUNT (Emergency Recovery Utility NT) is a free program that allows you to keep a complete backup of your registry and restore it when needed.)
    2. Install ERUNT by following the prompts
(use the default install settings but say no to the portion that asks you to add ERUNT to the start-up folder, if you like you can enable this option later)
    3. Start ERUNT
(either by double clicking on the desktop icon or choosing to start the program at the end of the setup)
    4. Choose a location for the backup
(the default location is C:\WINDOWS\ERDNT which is acceptable).
    5. Make sure that at least the first two check boxes are ticked
    6. Press OK
    7. Press YES to create the folder.
    Registry Modifications

Download the enclosed file and extract its contents to the desktop. It is a Registry Entries file, Regfix.reg. Once extracted, double click on it and select Yes when prompted to merge it into your registry.

Download LSPFix.exe to a convenient location. Do NOT run this program. This is only to be used if you lose Internet Access after removing NewDotNet.

Download new.netfix.exe by noahdfear. Save the file to your desktop. Do nothing with it yet.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add\ Remove Programs and remove the following:

New.Net Applications or New.Net Domains (anything that says New.Net)

If it is not there, please go here and follow Procedure 4: NewDotNet Removal Procedure 4.

Then, double click on the new.netfix.exe file on yur desktop, then click Start to extract the contents to it's own folder. Open the folder and double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts and post the contents of the new.net.txt file it creates in the folder in your next reply.

In the event that you lose Internet access after removing New.Net, please double-click LSPFix.exe that you downloaded earlier. Check the "I know what I'm doing" button. You will see 2 panels. If there is any file listed in the "Remove" panel on the right-side, leave it as is and just click "Finish>>" then reboot your computer and you should now have access to the Internet. If nothing is listed under the "Remove Panel", do NOT do anything - just close the program. You will need to use another computer to come back here for further instructions on what to do.

Go to Start->Run, type Msconfig and click Ok. Click on Normal Startup. Click Apply, then on Close, restart the computer when prompted.

Re-scan with Hijackthis and save the report. Post its contents in a reply along with the contents of the new.net.txt.

    Hi, soulhunter87 :)

Download the enclosed file and extract its contents to the desktop. It is a batch file. Once extracted, double click on the file. A new document will be produced. Post the contents of this file.

    Hi, soulhunter87 :)

    I see no restrictions.

Press Ctrl+Esc. Does the Start menu appears? If it does, right click on the lower border of the start menu and select Properties. Check your Settings. Make sure none of these are Hidden.

my computer seems to disconnect from the internet randomly. Sometimes I cant online for quite a while. This happened since I uninstall newdotnet. but there is nothing listed on the remove panel of LSPfix. is it just the internet provider's problem or can it be from the new.net?
