I was all good to go, then had to redo my startup disk. Anyhow, I have been downloading things and I think I have too much in there and don't know where to start. I know that there are links telling me what I need and what I don't, but I'm not that smart  Here is mylog:

Hi cheapkelly,

I'm going to move your post to the XP forum where I think you will get more help with those startups.

Well first of all, to remove startup programs go to Run, type in "msconfig". Then a window will popup, go to the startup tab for all programs that auto-start.

I'd say you dont really need...
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ACS.exe - (Unsure of what this is)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe - (Unsure of what this is)
c:\TOSHIBA\Ivp\Swupdate\swupdtmr.exe - (dont need this really too much, but doubt it takes up too much space either)
C:\Program Files\ltmoh\Ltmoh.exe - (doesnt seem needed, but up to you..)
C:\WINDOWS\AGRSMMSG.exe
C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\Apoint.exe
C:\Program Files\EzButton\EzButton.EXE
C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\ConfigFree\NDSTray.exe
C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\E-KEY\CeEKey.exe
C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\Touch and Launch\PadExe.exe
C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TOSHIBA Zooming Utility\SmoothView.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ZoomingHook.exe
C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TouchPad\TPTray.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxtray.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exe
C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\browser\ybrwicon.exe - (since when did they have a browser?...you should try firefox :p )
C:\PROGRA~1\Yahoo!\browser\ycommon.exe
C:\PROGRA~1\SBCSEL~1\SMARTB~1\MotiveSB.exe - (Unsure of what this is)
C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\Apntex.exe - (check this one out too..)
C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe - (Unless you actually use it..)
C:\Program Files\Palm\hotsync.exe - (Unsure of what this is)
C:\PROGRA~1\Yahoo!\MESSEN~1\YPAGER.EXE
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe - (realplayer sucks IMO..trys to take over your system -yes, some sarcasm there :p -)

I just pointed out any non system or security processes you can stop
I cant go into much detail right now, kinda busy, good luck.

p.s. if i can find the time, i'll come back and check into them some more. unless someone else handles it by then

DO NOT disable all these!

DiabloDj1 I suggest that, if you're "kinda busy" and don't have the time to make sure your advice is correct, you refrain from posting advice until your not so busy!

You included these in your recommendations:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSetMgr.exe - (Unsure of what this is)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe

These are part of Norton antivirus and it is just plain irresponsible to recommend disabling them. A 30 second Google search would have shown you what they are!

C:\WINDOWS\System32\ZoomingHook.exe
-- Non-essential, up to you to keep it. For Toshiba's zooming Utility on tablet PC's.

C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\browser\ybrwicon.exe
-- Up to you to keep it but Firefox or Opera are the most loved browsers so try those sometime if you'd like...

C:\Program Files\Visual Networks\Visual IP InSight\SBC\IPClient.exe
C:\Program Files\Visual Networks\Visual IP InSight\SBC\IPMon32.exe
-- Isn't really needed and is known to take up a lot of resources.

C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe
-- If you don't use MSN messenger get rid of this of course XP..

C:\Program Files\SBC Self Support Tool\bin\mpbtn.exe
-- Not essential, up to you to stop.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe
-- Unless you dont faithfully use RealPlayer, stop this one. You can update yourself whenever you use the program.

To get more info about any processes just go to this website:
http://www.processlibrary.com/

EDIT: btw I didnt mean to remove all those before, I should of been more specific, they were just teh one's I needed to take note of for later on, of course later on didnt really happen too soon...
