Hello, I am pretty good with computers and have been working with this problem for hours.. I am one of the best players in Diablo 2, and I recently purchased a new video card. The new video card seems to have a lag spike at certain intervals. So since they were in intervals instinctively I checked that the frame rate was 60hz, and it was. So what can it be? I have updated all of my drivers, I have tried the game in 2D (DirectDraw) and 3D (Direct3d) and the 3D mode is completely laggy, and 2D has the lag spikes. I would prefer to play the game in 3D mode, but if that won't work then please just help me to play the game!

BTW: The video card is a VisionTek Radeon X1300 Series

Have you tried reinstalling the game? And you definitely got the right drivers from ATI?

Try disable the onboard video card at the bios.
