please help me!!!

    hi there,
    My windows laptop had problem, everyone can help me. Every time I turn on power, I received something like this: 'c:\windows\config\csrss.exe can not find'. This is windows xp sp 2. What is that problem? and how can I fit it? please help me. Thank you very much.

    Hi newbiecom!

    Basically there is something on the startup list on your computer which is referring to the csrss.exe file. You can try to remove that from the startup panel and see if that can get rid of the message

    You can try to check your msconfig and the startup folder for any entries like that

    Hello,

    The csrss.exe does not belong in the config folder, but in C:\Windows\System32.
    A startup item is looking for that file which has been removed. This may be a leftover from a virus. You will want to do a thorough virus scan. If you need further help, you can download HiJackThis and post a log in the Malware forum on this site.
